3. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Search Data: City names you search for, stored to provide recent search suggestions. Retention: 90 days.
  • IP Address: Collected for ad fraud protection (limited to 2 ad impressions per IP per day). Stored in anonymized form. Retention: 7 days.
  • Technical Data: Browser type, device information, and page interaction data collected automatically for service improvement.

4. Third-Party Data Processors

We share data with the following third-party processors:

  • wttr.in: Weather data provider. Receives city names for weather lookups.
  • TimeAPI.io: Timezone data provider. Receives geographic coordinates.
  • Open-Meteo: Geocoding API for city search autocomplete. Receives partial city name queries.
  • Frankfurter.app: Currency exchange rate data. No personal data transmitted.
  • Abacus.AI: LLM API for generating travel information and dream interpretations. Receives city names and user-submitted dream text.

International Transfers: Some processors are located outside the EU/EEA. Where applicable, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) per Art. 46 GDPR.

5. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use the following types of cookies:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for basic site functionality (e.g., theme preference). These do not require consent.

  • Search History: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted.
  • Ad Impression Data: Daily records retained for 7 days for fraud prevention.
  • Blog Content: Published content is retained indefinitely as it is publicly available editorial content.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed at children under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Policy
